Onancock

Shore Access: There is a dinghy dock just past the Onancock Wharf that is free to tie up to. From here, it is a short walk into town.

Trash: In front of the Onancock Wharf marina there are two large cans for trash.

Restrooms/Showers/Laundry: Cruisers that are anchoring in Onancock Creek can pay $15/day for access to the private marina laundry room and restrooms. The laundry room has one washer and one dryer. There are three dedicated stalls at the marina with a keycode for entry that have a spacious shower and toilet. There is also one public toilet at the marina that is available to all, but it is only open during daytime hours.

Pump-out: In front of Onancock Wharf, there is a pump-out, but the dock didn’t look long enough to accommodate our boat.

Urbanna

Shore Access: There is a dingy dock adjacent to the Urbanna Town Marina.

Trash: Behind the Urbanna Town Marina were six large cans for trash.

Restrooms/Shower/Laundry: We saw restrooms were here, but did not check out the facilities or can verify if they are open to the public.


Maryland

Annapolis

Trash: There are several full size dumpsters in the parking lot between Ego Alley and the harbor master’s office. There is an additional dumpster at the end of Shipwright Street, on the backside of Spa Creek behind the drawbridge.

Restrooms/Shower/Laundry: There are public restrooms (no showers) on the first floor of the harbor master’s office building. Boaters staying on a mooring ball have access to the boater’s restroom on the second floor of the harbor master’s office. Tokens for door access can be picked up with the harbor master. The men’s and women’s boater restrooms each have one washer, one dryer, one toilet, and two showers. Boaters anchoring out in the harbor or on one of the creeks can purchase tokens to take a shower.

Pump-out: The harbor master’s office runs a pump-out boat. For most of the summer boating season, they run Wednesday-Sunday beginning at 9 am. Radio them on channel 17 in the morning to be added to the list for the day. Tanks less than 50 gallons cost $5 per tank to be pumped.
